Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
In April I will be attempting to run the Paris Marathon. Whilst I am training for this challenge, I would like to take this opportunity to raise money for a charity which is close to my family. A few years ago, a member of my family was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and over time I’ve seen this condition slowly chew away at their lifestyle.
Parkinson’s is currently the fastest growing neurological condition in the world and the number of people diagnosed is expected to double to 25 million by 2050. There are currently medical treatments, surgical treatments and lifestyle changes that can help manage the symptoms though there is currently no cure.
Parkinson’s UK is funding groundbreaking research towards finding a cure.
I would really appreciate your support! Any donation, no matter big or small would be incredible. If you are unable to donate, please share this link as I’m hoping to continue to raise awareness about this condition throughout my training.
Thank youuu!
