Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Great North Run on 13 September 2026 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.

Great North Run 2026
Thursday 29th Jan This year instead of standing on the sidelines cheering I will be doing the great north run for parkinsons even if it kills me!Seeing first-hand how this condition affects not just individuals but whole families has really motivated me to do this. Parkinson’s UK provides vital support and funds research that makes a real difference.
Training won’t be easy, but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by people living with Parkinson’s.
And yes this is clearly either a midlife crisis or a good old mental breakdown
