Great South Run - In Memory of Mum
On Sunday 18th October 2026, I’ll be taking on the Great South Run — 10 miles through Portsmouth — to raise money for Parkinson’s UK, in memory of my wonderful Mum.
Parkinson’s is a cruel and devastating disease that affects not only the person diagnosed, but their family, friends and everyone who loves them. Seeing over many years the impact it had on my Mum and our family, this is a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.
I’m taking on this challenge to remember Mum, to celebrate her life, and to help raise awareness and vital funds so that other families affected by Parkinson’s can receive the support they need.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. The money raised for Parkinson’s UK helps fund vital research into better treatments and, ultimately, a cure, as well as providing essential support and advice to people living with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.
This run is for you Mum! For the memories, the love, the laughs and everything she meant to me and our family.
