Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK on Saturday 24 April and would really appreciate your support!
My mam was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2013 and lived with the disease for over 10 years before sadly passing away last year.
She never wanted people to know she had the disease and never wanted it to affect how she lived her life, she battled through it with strength and dignity.
She accomplished so much in her life working for the NHS and travelling the world and loved nothing more than being with her family, especially her four grandboys.
One thing on her bucket list that she sadly never got to tick off was running the London Marathon, so in 2027 I will be running the London marathon in memory of my amazing Mam and raising money for Parkinson’s UK to help find a cure or find further advancements in medicine to make peoples lives more comfortable and manageable living with the disease.
Good Luck
