Yorkshire three peaks

We walked the Yorkshire three peaks last year in the pouring down rain and fog, stupidly we decided that we’d do it again 🙈 so today we hiked 24 miles and climbed Pen Y Gent 2277ft, Whernside 2415ft and Ingleborough 2372ft 🏔️🏔️🏔️ its took us 10.5 hours and was so so hot! 🥵 It was so much harder than last year with the heat and we’re both in so much pain now but we’re hoping that you’ll get behind us and sponsor us so we can raise as much money as possible for Parkinsons 

Update

So everyone knows that Lynsey is my sister in law, one of my best friends and my partner in crime for all the crazy things that we do 🙈🥾🏔️🏃‍♀️

She won’t blow her own trumpet 🎺 so I’m going to do it for her! 

The beginning of November last year Lynsey was told she had Cervical cancer, a couple of weeks later she was told it was more advanced that first thought and by the beginning of December she’d had major surgery to perform a full hysterectomy resulting in a forced menopause before the age of 40. 

By mid January she decided we needed to get back to our GNR training and we started hiking because we stupidly thought it would be less intense than running 🙈 🤣🙄

On the 17th of February I asked the question “have you heard of the Wainwrights?” and on the 18th of February we collected our first 5 🤣 we’ve now bagged 32 and are off next week to collect some more. 

We’re still running as well and did our longest run of the year this morning at 8 miles 

So while I really appreciate all of your sponsors, Lynsey really deserves them because she’s probably the strongest woman I know 

Training starts

So we starting our training this week! We’ve managed a 8 mile, 3 peak hike in the Lake District in the snow ❄️ , 3 short runs and ended with a 5k in the rain 🌧️. We’re feeling really positive this year so hopefully it keeps going well xx
