One man and his Rob!

Pedal Trossachs 2025

Why we are fundraising for Parkinson's UK

#lf you know, you know!

Rob and I are taking part in the Pedal Trossachs 2025 - Tough 100 for Parkinson’s UK On 31st August 2025 - We will be cycling 100 miles - with over 6600ft of elevation over the course of the ride.

Why!?

As with many diseases - it can be devastating to someone who gets diagnosed with Parkinson's and to their families.

My big bro Daren has Parkinson's, he was diagnosed around 3 years ago, for someone that has worked physically hard all his life supporting his family, you can imagine this was quite the blow.

Only a daily/weekly basis he can have issues with the following:

• Mental health (caused by diagnosis)

• Balance difficulties

• Rigidity of facial muscles

• Cramps

• Walking difficulties

• Sleep disturbance

• Forgetfulness

• Tiredness

I feel privileged to help him raise money doing one of the things I love to do - I couldn't imagine something like cycling being taken from me.

Daren isn't the only member of my family to have this disease - my aunt also has Parkinson's.

Please help by sponsoring my challenge. All the money raised will go to Parkinson’s UK's work in support of their UK wide physical activity and exercise programmes with the aim of helping people with Parkinson's get active and stay active.

Thank you to our sponsors
