Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I'm walking to raise money on behalf of Rock Steady Boxing who support people to (quite literally) fight Parkinson's disease 🥊
This is a cause very close to my heart both through family (my mother in law is currently living with Parkinson's, and my great aunt also had it), and also because of a close and incredibly inspirational friend who sadly passed away a few years ago.
The scientific breakthroughs between when my friend was diagnosed, to now are remarkable, and I hope for a future where those diagnosed aren't thinking about care, but about living life to the full, in the community.
