Walk for Parkinson's: Liverpool 2026

Mr Blue Eyes

HI team, not long left for the walk. Hope everyone has tried on their t shirts and raring to go. Thanks for sharing the page and helping with raising the funds

Walking for John: A Journey of Love, Strength and Remembrance

This year as a family and friends, we will be taking part in a fundraising walk in memory of  John Reeve, a beloved husband, father and grandad who sadly passed away in March 2026 after living with Parkinson's disease since 2021.

Parkinson's is a condition that affects every person differently, but for John it brought challenges that gradually changed everyday life. Despite this, he faced those challenges with remarkable resilience, determination and courage. He never allowed his diagnosis to define who he was. To us, he remained the same loving husband, devoted dad, proud grandad and loyal friend that he had always been.

Over the years, we watched Parkinson's slowly take things away from him that many of us take for granted. Yet through every setback, John continued to show incredible strength. Even on his hardest days, he would still find ways to make us smile, offer advice, and put others before himself.

This fundraising walk is about much more than raising money. It is an opportunity to honour Johns memory, celebrate his life, and support the vital work being carried out to improve the lives of those affected by Parkinson's. Every step we take will be for him and for the thousands of families who continue to face this disease every day.

As we walk, we'll remember the man who taught us the value of hard work, kindness, resilience and family. We'll remember his humour, his strength and the countless memories that will stay with us forever. Although he is no longer with us, his influence remains a part of who we are.

We hope that through this fundraiser we can help contribute towards research, support services and ultimately a future where fewer families have to experience the impact of Parkinson's disease.

John fought his battle with dignity and courage until the very end. We are incredibly proud of him, and we miss him every day.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, donated, shared our fundraiser, or joined us on this walk. Your kindness means more than words can express.

This walk is for John Reeve.

A beloved husband, dad, grandad and friend.

Forever loved. Forever remembered.
