How it’s going

Monday 6th Apr
This weekend I went for a little trek with my friend as a recce for something we may be doing. It went well. 20 miles banked but hiking rather than running but I’ll take that.
2 weeks to go….

My why….

Monday 23rd Mar
So.

I’ve done a couple of things for Parkinson’s UK.

Apologies to people I haven’t thanked for sponsoring me previously-generally I’ve been very upset regards my dad when I’ve done them and haven’t thanked you but I love you and appreciate you all, you know that as my friends I’m a bit shit at replying.

I don’t share my personal life generally but (don’t worry I’m tapping up the bloody consultants this time-you don’t need to do nowt smiley face winky face) I feel I need to share this time.

I know I’ve done marathons before but this is pretty horrible training wise. I’m tired. I’m old. But hey ho. If anyone has got any coppers I’d appreciate it. I’ll initially do 20 cos that’s what my dad used to say a lot but I’ll add more when I get paid.

This is training for another stupid thing which I’m not cashing in on, but I wanted to do it cos it’s my best mate Lisa’s first marathon and me and the beautiful Nic Nic are supporting her.

This is for my mum and my family and for anyone affected by Parkinson’s. It’s a horrible shit disease to have but hopefully they’re starting to make headway with research to change things.
It’s 2 years since my dad died. Feels like seconds ago. He had Parkinson’s diagnosed for 20 years so he did good, and was in the wheelchair as a throne for not so long.

My dad was, and still is, the most wonderful person I met (apart from my mum). He was/is the funnniest, the most principled, stoic person.

I can’t explain him because how do you explain that person who made you to anyone else?

Anyway. I digress.

I’m running a bloody marathon and it’s shite. Eat all the chips for me 😘😘😘

Thank you to my sponsors
