Why we are fundraising for Parkinson's UK
In October we’re running the Manchester half marathon to raise money for Parkinson’s UK — a cause that means an enormous amount to our family.
We’ve watched our dad suffer with Parkinson’s for the last 16 years and more recently our Uncle. We’ve seen first-hand the impact the condition can have, not just on the person living with it, but on their carers too.
We wanted to take on a challenge that would push us both, whilst raising money for a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.
So, we’re going to put ourselves through 21.1 km, hopefully raise some money and do our small bit to support the brilliant work being done to improve life for people living with Parkinson’s and, ultimately, find a cure.
Every donation, big or small, means a lot to us. Thank you for supporting us — and for helping us turn a very long run into something worthwhile!
