Just over a week to go before the walk Parkinson’s UK in Essex
Just over a week to go before Celia and I (Team Hockadays) take part in the Walk for Parkinson’s UK event at Hylands Park near Chelmsford. I hope to complete a 2 miie route around the grounds and aim to raise funds for this charity, which does so much to support people living with Parkinson’s and also funds research into this neuro-degenerative disease.

A 2 mile walk doesn’t sound a great distance but it will be a challenge for me. Celia and I have always been keen walkers and we regularly used to hike much greater distances. That all changed six years ago when I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. While things didn’t change initially, my ability to walk long distances has gradually decreased as the disease progresses. So two miles will be an achievement for me. We would appreciate any donations you may wish to make
