100 miles is a recommended distance, but if you would like to do a different distance please go ahead and change your target distance on your fundraising page.
Can we take part as a team?
Walk for Parkinson's 100 Mile Challenge is a great team challenge! Spread the word and get your friends and family involved. You can create a team fundraising page which will combine all your individual fundraising and show your team's fundraising total. Walk apart or together, the choice is yours.

How do I use MapMyFitness and Fitbit and how do I connect them to my fundraising page?
MapMyFitness, Fitbit or Garmin are great ways to track your distance. Once connected they automatically upload your distance to your page, keeping your supporters updated with your progress. Follow our instructions to connect your fitness app to your fundraising page.
How will Parkinson’s UK know when I have completed my 100 miles?
Once connected following the steps above, all of the miles from either MapMyFitness, Fitbit or Garmin will automatically be logged with us.
If you have issues with MapMyFitness and Fitbit on your walk, please see the steps below to upload your distance manually.
Can I track my miles without using an app?
Of course! If you’d prefer not to use a fitness app you can still easily keep track of your miles through your fundraising page. You can manually upload your mileage by following the simple steps below. That way your friends and family will still be able to see how you’re progressing.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to your account. You can log in by clicking on the symbol in the top right corner of the Walk for Parkinson's 100 webpage.
- Hover over your name in the top right corner of the page and click on 'My Fitness Activity'.
- Edit the number of miles, your duration, and the time of day you completed your miles by clicking on the links.
- Click ‘save’ and then refresh your page. Your miles should now appear in your feed.
When is the fundraising deadline?
We ask for all donations to be in 6 weeks after the event finishes, so by 12 July 2025.
How do I pay in my offline fundraising?
There are a few different ways you can send in any additional offline donations:
- You can pay them into your online fundraising page yourself.
- You can send in a cheque (made payable to Parkinson’s UK) along with the offline paying in form:

Will I get a medal at the end?
Everyone who raises £100 gets a medal which will be sent to you after the event.
Will I get a T-shirt and when will I receive it?
Everyone who raises £50 gets a T-shirt to wear during the challenge. These will be sent from end of April onwards, depending on when you hit your target. If you would like to purchase a cotton T-shirt to wear in the meantime these can be purchased on our online store.
Does everybody in the team get their own fundraising reward?
The incentives will be based on your individual fundraising totals. Any fundraising donated to your team fundraising page and not individually will be divided equally between all team members. For example, £200 on your team fundraising page would be £50 each total for a team of 4 meaning everyone would get a t-shirt.
