About this event
Ultra X Wales is a multi-stage ultra marathon that will take you across the famous Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains. Starting in Abergavenny, you'll experience challenging climbs and incredible views of one of the UK's most beautiful regions.
This event offers suitable challenges for everyone, from experienced ultra marathoners to first-time trail runners. There are 5 distance options for this challenge: 12km, 25km, 50km, 60km, and the full 110km challenge. If you're going for the full 110km, you can camp overnight for a 2-day challenge.
Whatever distance you choose, you'll have a fully marked route, medical support, and regular rest stops with water and snacks.
Your fundraising page
Your fundraising page will be automatically set up when you register. Just give it a personal touch and share it! All fundraising from our Ultra X Wales team will help fund vital research and support services for people with Parkinson's and those who love and care for them.
£195 could fund a research assistant for a day to prepare brain tissue samples and uncover clues about the causes of Parkinson’s.
£500 could fund the equipment and local pitch hire to set up a walking football group, supporting people with Parkinson's to get active.
£2,250 could fund 2 weeks of work for a speech and language therapist, helping people living with Parkinson’s gain confidence in being heard and understood.
