Pedal Fundraising Hub

Where do the donations go?

All donations for our Pedal Series cycling events will fund physical activity and exercise programmes.

Being active for 2.5 hours a week can help manage Parkinson’s symptoms, and so as a charity, we support physical activity projects for people with Parkinson's. With your help we can continue to fund local community groups, clubs and exercise professionals across the UK.

3 steps to fundraising success

1. Visit & personalise your fundraising page

When you signed up for your Pedal cycle, you were automatically set up a fundraising page. Click here to visit your fundraising page

Personalise your page and begin sharing to your social media networks to kickstart your fundraising.

2. Download our sponsorship form

Or, if you prefer to fundraise offline, you can download and print a sponsorship form below. Just make sure to contact us before sending any fundraising through so we can ensure your fundraising is linked to your account.

3. Ask your employer about matched gifting

Why not ask your employer if they offer matched giving? This is when your employer will offer a donation, or even double your fundraising! Employers may ask for a letter of authority before donating, if this is the case then please get in touch with us and we’ll be more than happy to provide one.

Need more inspiration?

There are lots of ways you can boost your fundraising…

  • You could organise a Pub quiz in aid of Parkinson’s at your local pub
  • You could ask your colleagues to donate cakes to sell at a bake sale in the office
  • If you have children, perhaps their school can help organise a non-uniform day?

How we support your fundraising

  • You’ll receive a cycling fundraising pack through the post.
  • We'll keep you up to date by email and share our fundraising and training tips.
  • If you’re organising a fundraising event, we can send you fundraising materials.
  • A dedicated events team member is available to answer any questions you may have.

Impact of funding - physical activity programme

Fundraising from Pedal Series events supports our exercise programs which help people with Parkinson’s manage their symptoms. Hear from Janet, a past Pedal Trossachs participant, on how exercise helps her post-diagnosis:

£20

£20 could pay for a set of badminton rackets

£50

£50 could pay for an hour of sports coaching

£100

£100 could pay for a dance class for £15

How to fundraise as a team

Social proof - how I did fundraising

“When I decided to take on the London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK, I knew I wanted to raise as much as possible for the charity. I reached out to my networks online, sharing my fundraising page on Linkedin, Facebook and Instagram. When donations slowed down online, I decided to organise a book and bake sale in my office, with my colleagues kindly donating books and baking cakes for the stand.

I also organised a quiz at work which took place in a nearby pub, with all proceeds raised going to my Parkinson’s UK fundraiser. I’m delighted to say that I raised over £2000!”
