Take on a 100, 50 or 25 mile cycle and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Trossachs National Park. Both the 100 and 50 mile routes contain a mixture of tricky climbs and fast descents which are sure to be a challenge. Hills aren't your friend? Take it easy with our flat 25 mile course ideal for anyone looking to enjoy a beautiful bike ride with friends and family.

Who organises Pedal for Parkinson's Stirling?
Parkinson’s UK manages your booking, administration and sponsorship money.
Course routes, safety and logistics are planned and managed in collaboration with True Grit Events who draw on many years of experience planning and delivering a variety of outdoor events.
What measures are you putting in place to mitigate COVID-19?
We will monitor and adhere to all government guidelines and methods of best practice within the events industry. Social distancing, staggered start lines and arrival times, mailed out registration packs and increased safety measures across the event are just some of the steps that we may consider. Participants will be updated with information about how we will be implementing new measures to ensure that we deliver our events safely.
Who can take part?
- The following age restrictions apply:
100 miles - 16 or above
50 miles - 14 or above
25 miles - 11 or above
- U18s cannot take part unaccompanied, and must ride with an adult
- Electric bikes are welcome on all courses
How many people will be taking part?
We’re expecting around 250 cyclists of varying abilities.
How fit do I need to be?
Pedal for Parkinson's is designed to be a challenge for cyclists, but achievable in the time limit. A training plan is provided when you sign up, but we recommend that you seek advice from your GP before embarking on a new exercise programme.
Will I be able to sign up on the day?
Online registration will close at 23:59 on Monday 16 August 2021.
Unfortunately, due to potential COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to confirm whether you will be able to sign up on the day.
What time will it start?
Pedal for Parkinson's Stirling will start at 08:00 (TBC), with participants leaving in waves - 100 mile riders will start first, followed by 50 miles and finally 25 miles.
What facilities will be available?
Toilets will be available at the Start/Finish area and at rest stops around the course.
Will there be refreshments?
There will be rest stops along the course with food and drink for participants, including a lunch stop near to the mid-point for 100 mile riders.
What medical provision is available?
Professional medical cover is provided at the Start and Finish areas and on the course. Please give way to any emergency vehicles that require access to the course.
What if I feel unwell on the day?
Do not take part if you feel unwell before the event. The organisers reserve the right to prevent participation on the day on medical grounds. If you feel unwell during Pedal for Parkinson's Stirling, let the nearest marshal know or call the on the day contact number provided and they will call for medical assistance.
How will Parkinson's UK support me?
We provide you with sponsorship forms and regular e-newsletters containing lots of useful fundraising and training tips. We can also provide fundraising materials such as collection tins, banners and posters on request.
When will I receive my event pack?
Your event pack containing all on the day information will be sent out two weeks before the ride.
