The main aim of the challenge is to get everyone out playing golf and supporting Parkinson’s UK

Tony Bruce, 70, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019 and was advised by his neurologist that keeping active would help him manage his Parkinson’s symptoms.

"Playing golf has such a positive impact on my symptoms. My tremor is getting worse over time and nothing can stop it, but when I’m at the golf course, I forget about it and it doesn’t matter to me. Those hours I spend playing golf are hours where I forget I have Parkinson’s.”

FAQs

Where can I play?

add remove

You can take on this challenge anywhere you like, but make sure to contact the club beforehand. This can include planning tee times and making the clubhouse aware you'll be playing at a faster pace.

How much do I need to fundraise?

add remove

Our suggested target is £250 but in order to receive all of our incentives you have to make it to £300, why stop there though money raised will help support those living with Parkinson’s.

Do I have to play 3 rounds?

add remove

No, do whatever you feel comfortable doing. If 3 rounds feel too much go for 2. This challenge is supposed to be fun and rewarding. We want people to enjoy the experience whilst pushing themselves within their own capabilities.

Can we take part as a team?

add remove

Par for Parkinson's All Day Golf Challenge is a great team challenge! Spread the word and get your friends and family involved. You can create a team when you sign up and a team fundraising page will be created for you, which will combine all your individual fundraising and show your team's fundraising total.
