Me, My Brain and I

This autumn we celebrated the unique complexity of the human brain with an exhibition and auction of exclusive artworks.

A group of world-class artists came together to contribute to Me, My Brain and I, a collection of sculptures portraying what their brain means to them.

The sculptures from the likes of Tracey Emin, David Bailey, D*Face, Alex Echo and LUAP were displayed at the inspiring Koppel X space in Piccadilly Circus in October. Alongside this exhibition, we hosted workshops led by two of our participating artists, Alex Echo and LUAP. All 15 artworks then went under the hammer at the renowned Christie's auction house.

Thank you so much to everyone that came along, bid on the artworks and donated to Parkinson's UK. All money raised from the auction and donations to this project will go towards our vital work into new treatments and a cure.  You can make a donation online. Your support makes a huge difference to people with Parkinson's.

A visual representation of living with Parkinson's

Alex Echo was diagnosed with Parkinson's in early 2020. He hopes his brain sculpture, Tremor, will create a visual representation of what it's like to live with Parkinson's:

"It's been difficult, but when I'm doing art, time disappears. Parkinson's disappears. Worries disappear. Art saves my life every day and has for 42 years."
